Hi! My name is Heather and I am the hands and heart of Scenic Route Silver. Thank you so much for being here and taking a peek at my website. Everything you see here on my site is made by me in my home studio in rural South Dakota.
I'm a lifelong crafter and maker and have been making jewelry since the age of 3. I have adored rocks and stones for as long as I can remember. When the opportunity to take a 10 week silversmith course presented itself to me 11 years ago I jumped at the chance and never looked back! After that very first class I bought everything I needed to set up a home studio and have been making silver and stone jewelry ever since.
As a wife and mom to 2 young children I don't have as much time to dedicate to my craft as I once did. But as a stay at home mom I feel grateful I get to watch my kids grow up. They're only young once and they won't always need me like they do now. So for now I am reveling in their younger years and feeling grateful when I can find little moments to create.
